Snow...

There had been a couple of freezing cold days lately around here. We finally got the snow and it totally payed off when one looked at the scenery. Just makes me happy. And the best thing is, we are actually having some incredibly beautiful, sunny days now (three in a row!).

Apparenty, Carlow hadn't had snow like this in about 15 years. It became quite the impossible task to keep the girls' attention at school on the first day of snow. Everyone was super excited. Some of the girls had never seen snow like this so, it was fun watching them at play time and after - absolutely soaked - sitting on the floor by the radiators with their red cheeks, shoes and socks off, listening to the teacher. Very funny.

The teachers were really nice and gave hardly no homework so everyone could just enjoy the snow the next day. Oh yes, school was cancelled on Tuesday. James, Jack, Carol & Carol had a snowball fight -- I'd say it was a draw. It's a shame to not have a picture of that. We definitely had some fun though.
